The Sunday New York Times Book Review's THRILLER MAP of the World [and Me!]

On Sunday, July 22, 2018, The New York Times published a special edition of its Book Review, titled "Thrills and Chills" which included a centerfold THRILLER MAP captioned, "All the World's a Crime" (compiled by Tina Jordan).  The Times selected 56 thriller writers who set their work in different places around the globe with which to "burrow into an armchair and take yourself on some literary excursions."

I'm honored to have my work selected as representing Greece.  It's listed on the map as #25 [Target: Tinos].

As of now, the Thriller Map is not available from The Times on line (even to we subscribers), and apparently has not (yet) been posted anywhere in a readable format.  So, as a "public service," here is a high resolution copy of that map--published in two parts so as to be (hopefully) readable.

UPDATE:  The article and map are now available on line at this link.

A Sampling of the Greek-Oriented Media's Interest in My Greece-Based Novels.

Mykonos Confidential

I made a promise on my website to provide examples of the sort of attention my Chief Inspector Andreas Kaldis novels have received from the Greek press. I struggled over much of the weekend trying to scrounge up what I could from my archives.  I quickly learned that much of what I’m looking for is back in the US on my desktop, not here on Mykonos on my laptop. :(.  Oh why, oh why didn’t I know of Dropbox sooner?

No matter, there’s more than enough flashy media coverage here for your eyes to glaze over into porcelain, though some might want to hang on for the (relatively) sexy stuff at the end.

By the way, if you’re having trouble reading most of what follows, there’s nothing wrong with your eyes; it’s because it’s in Greek.

So, please consider this a “promise keeping post,” and not one intended to set a precedent for Blatant Self Promotion.   I’ll get into the crazier stuff next time.

Here they are...

I'm Up!

Welcome to my new website. Don’t you just love it! If not, please keep your thoughts to yourself as I don’t want to upset Maddee James, web designer extraordinaire responsible for everything good about my new hangout. For anything bad, blame POTUS. He’s used to that sort of thing.

I plan on having a lot of fun with this blog, getting into matters quite different from what I cover each Saturday on my weekly Murder isEverywhere posts focused on all things Greece, and my 19th of each month blog on the website of my US publisher, Poisoned Pen Press.

I’ll also be posting photos of all sorts of eclectic things, sights, and events.   Like these:

August in Mykonos

Booze

Babes

Sea captain

Gunnery mate

Food

Friends

Greeks
Sunsets
Us
I guess I should issue a warning:  Sanity is not required for joining in on wherever this blog may journey.  But a sense of humor would be greatly appreciated. J

Bon Voyage to all of us embarking.
